March-3, Kathmandu-The Election Commission has clarified that rumors spreading on social media about the cancellation of the candidacy of Ashika Tamang, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP/Raswapa) candidate from Dhading Constituency No. 1, are not true.
As of today, March 4, 2026 (the eve of the election), her candidacy remains valid. The Election Commission officially confirmed that she has not been disqualified and did not withdraw her nomination.
