KATHMANDU — In a move that has intensified the electoral heat, Balen Shah has departed for Jhapa immediately after exercising his franchise in Kathmandu-2 this morning. Security officials confirmed that the RSP leader chartered a Mountain Air helicopter for the trip to ensure a quick arrival at his home turf.
The spotlight remains firmly on Jhapa Constituency No. 5, where Shah is challenging the heavyweight CPN-UML Chairman, KP Sharma Oli. With both candidates claiming momentum, Shah’s arrival in Jhapa is expected to further galvanize voters in one of the nation's most watched electoral battles.
